An incredibly useful policy discussion at the Conservative Party Conference saw APPG on Inclusive Growth Co-chair, John Penrose MP; Bobby Duffy, Director of the Policy Institute at King’s College London and Will Snell, Chief Executive of the Fairness Foundation come together with Julia Davies, Angel Investor, Founder of We Have the POWER and member of Patriotic Millionaires and Sophia Worringer, Deputy Policy Director, Centre for Social Justice to examine a Conservative agenda for tackling the causes, rather than the symptoms, of poverty and inequalities, with a particular focus on education, childcare and health, and on supporting families and communities.

A very engaged policy discussion continued at an exceptionally well-attended panel event at the Labour Party Conference where APPG on Inclusive Growth Co-chair, Liam Byrne MP; Bobby Duffy, Director of the Policy Institute at King’s College London and Will Snell, Chief Executive of the Fairness Foundation were joined by Emma Revie, Chief Executive, Trussell Trust and Polly Toynbee, Guardian columnist, author and former BBC social affairs editor. The panel emphasised the need for a comprehensive approach to address income and wealth inequality, with a focus on public support, education, early childhood development, and framing solutions within broader political missions.
